Without an NROTC scholarship, Wendy Chiado said she would likely not have been able to attend the University of Rochester. “I am grateful for the opportunities it provided me and for the strong academic foundation that served me so well in my educational and career pursuits.”

After completing her studies at Rochester, Wendy went on to pursue a master’s degree and PhD and served as a naval officer for more than 20 years. After her retirement from the U.S. Navy, she pursued a successful career with the Aerospace Corporation where she is currently working as a senior project leader.

In appreciation for her excellent educational experience at Rochester, Wendy has included the University in her will in support of the NROTC and women’s soccer programs.

Wendy has been a loyal volunteer of the University over the years and has served on reunion committees as well as assisting the Office of Admissions in their recruitment efforts. Most recently, she is assisting the Office of Trusts, Estates & Gift Planning as a Wilson Society Ambassador.
